When an error occurs, check the status of the DS8000s, ESX servers, vCenter
servers, and SANs.
DiscoverArrays failures
Verify the following items when you encounter failure during Array Manager
operations.
v Check that the IP address is correct and in the correct format. For example, the
v Check that the user name and password are correct
v Check to see whether the DS8000s are paired
Example:
Symptom: Unable to update array manager. See Figure 40.

Possible root cause and solution: The IP address, user name, or password is
incorrect. Check and correct the IP address, user name, or password.
DiscoverDevices failures
Verify the following items when you encounter failure during Devices for Enabled
Array Pairs operation.
v Ensure that the Metro Mirror relationships' status on the recovery (secondary)
v Ensure that Global Mirror relationships' "First Pass" status is "True" on the
