Hints For Broiling

• Use the Internal Oven Light to watch food and avoid over-browning.
• Do not place aluminum foil on top of Broiling Insert. Doing this traps grease
and can cause a fire.
• When broiling, trim excess fats from meat and score edges to reduce curling,
splattering and smoking.
• Always thaw meat before broiling.
Instructions For Top Browning
1. To Top Brown foods, follow the BROIL instructions but place the food in
the Oven Pan on the Wire Rack.
2. Turn the Internal Oven Light ON; press the Light Switch to the
(-) position. Watch food until desired color is achieved. You may
turn the Oven OFF and cancel cooking at any time by turning the
Timer to the OFF position.
3. At the end of the preset BROIL time, a signal will sound, and the
Timer will finish in the OFF position. The Power Light will turn OFF.
CAUTION: DO NOT LEAVE TOASTER OVEN-BROILER
UNATTENDED DURING TOP BROWNING.
4. Open the Glass Door. Wearing protective oven mitts, attach Handgrip to
the Wire Rack or Oven Pan (see Figure 8) and remove food from the Toaster
