The c o o la n t is a m ixtu re o f w a te r
and a ntifreeze. In the w o rk s the
co o la n t is ble n de d w ith antifre e ze
o ffe rin g p ro te c tio n to approx.
- 2 2 ° F ( - 3 0 ° C). The c o o la n t
tem p e ra tu re gauge in the in s tru ­
m ent c lu s te r is m atched w ith it
and c o rro s io n in h ib itio n in the
c o o lin g system is e nsured at the
sam e tim e.
The c o o la n t rem ains in the c o o lin g
system all year round and m ust be
renew ed a fte r 2 years at the latest.
T his a p p lies also to tra ile r o p e ra ­
tio n , hard d riv in g and to v e h ic le s
d riven in tro p ic a l c o u n trie s.
If c o o la n t has leaked from the
co o lin g system , re p la ce the m issing
q u a n tity w ith w a te r and a re co m ­
m ended brand of a n tifreeze. For
norm al re p le n is h m e n t (due to
eva p ora tio n o f w ater) plain w a te r
w ill do.

T he w a te r sho u ld be clean, and so ft
to m o d e ra te ly soft. It shou ld also
c o n ta in th e least p ossib le p ro p o r­
tio n o f diso lved m ate rials (po table
w a te r qu ality).
A n tifre e ze in the c o o la n t shou ld
ensure m inim um p ro te c tio n to
- 4 ° F ( - 2 0 ° C).
If no a n tifre e ze is available, add a
tre a tin g a g e n t to th e c o o lin g w a te r
(fo r c o rro s io n in h ib itio n in the
c o o lin g system ). To tre a t the c o o l­
ing w ater, do not use m ore than
1 % (10 cc. cm /l) o f a re co m m e n d ­
ed tre a tin g agent.
