Installing and removing a power module

WARNING!
• To avoid bodily injury or switch damage, strictly follow the procedures in
to install and remove a power module.
• You must provide a circuit breaker for each power module.

The S6520X-SI switches (except the S6520X-10XT-SI and S6520X-16XT-SI) each provide two
power module slots. It comes with power module slot 1 empty and power module slot 2 installed with
a filler panel. You can install one or two power modules for the switch as required.
IMPORTANT:
• An S6520X-18C-SI switch can only use PSR150-A1 or PSR150-D1 power modules for power
supply when it is installed with an LSPM6FWD firewall module.
• An S6520X-26C-SI switch can only use PSR150-A1 or PSR150-D1 power modules for power
supply when it is installed with an LSWM2SP8P, LSWM4SP8PM, LSWM2MGT8P or
LSWM2XMGT8P interface card, or an LSPM6FWD firewall module.
Installing and removing a PSR75-12A, PSR150-A1, or
PSR150-D1
The installation and removal procedures are the same for the PSR75-12A, PSR150-A1, and
PSR150-D1 power modules. The following procedure installs and removes a PSR75-12A power
module.
Installing a power module
Wear an ESD wrist strap. Make sure the strap makes good skin contact and is reliably

grounded.
Remove the filler panel, if any, from the target power module slot.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the filler panel and then remove the filler
panel.
