To select the next folder up: select the
U icon.

The U icon is always located at the
very top of each folder.
Playing back the contents of a cate-
gory or folder

Select a category or folder.

Press W for longer than two seconds.
The contents of the selected category or
folder are played back according to the
selected playback option (

This function is available for alphabetical
categories and folders. It is not available
within albums or playlists.

Select a category, e.g. Artists.
The available artists are displayed.

Press the number key corresponding to the
first letter of the artist's name once or sev-
eral times to select the desired artist (e.g.
for an artist beginning with the letter "C",
press number key 2 three times).
The available letters are listed at the lower
edge of the display. The first entry corre-
sponding to the entered letters appears at
the top of the list.

If no entry matches the entered letter, the
first item in the list is the last entry to cor-
respond to a selection.

This function is available for alphabeti-
cally sorted directories. It is not available
within playlists.

In a directory, press the number key corre-
sponding to the first letter of the artist's
name once or several times to select the
desired artist (e.g. for an artist beginning
with the letter "C", press number key 2
three times).
The available letters are listed at the lower
edge of the display.
If the directory only contains folders,
Audio 20 searches for folders. After a mes-
sage is displayed, the first entry corre-
sponding to the entered letter is shown at
the top of the list.
If no entry matches the entered letter, the
first item in the list is the last entry to cor-
respond to a selection.
Selecting an active partition (USB
mass storage devices only)
You can select this function for USB devices
if the memory has been partitioned. Up to four
partitions (primary or logical; FAT format) are
supported.

The Windows formatting program sup-
ports FAT partitioning up to 32 GB as stand-
ard.

Select Media InterfaceQSelect

Playback options
The following options are available:
Normal track sequence

You hear the tracks in their normal order
(numerical or alphabetical).
Random tracks

All tracks on the device are played back in
random order.
