Power Windows
Switch group for power windows:
1 left, front
2 left, rear
3 right, front
4 right, rear
5 safety switch
6 individual switches (rear doors)
Turn key in steering lock to posi­
tion 1 or 2.
The power windows can be
operated as follows:
By using the switch group on
the center console, with one
switch (1 - 4) per window.

By using the switch (6) in each
rear door panel.
Operation:
Press switch up to resistance
point:
to close
to open
Release switch when window is in
desired position.
Front door windows:
Press switch E 3 past resistance
point and release - window lowers
to fully open position. To interrupt
procedure, briefly press
or r * i .
If inadvertent operation of the rear
windows by switch (6) (for in­
stance by children) is to be pre­
vented, slide safety switch (5) to
the right (symbol becomes visible).
Warning!
When leaving the vehicle, al­
ways remove the key from the
steering lock. Do not leave
children unattended in the
vehicle. Unsupervised use of
vehicle equipment can cause
serious personal injury.
The power windows can also be
closed with the key while locking
the vehicle doors or tailgate (see
Central Locking System in Index).
Warning!
When closing the windows, be
sure that there is no danger of
anyone being harmed by the
closing procedure.
