INSTALLATION
• Clean the tapered parts [1] of dirt, oil, grease, and
other foreign material before installation.
• Be sure there are no metal parts or other foreign
material on the magnet part [2] of the flywheel.
Set the woodruff key [3] in the key groove [4] of the
crankshaft securely.
Set the flywheel [5] by aligning the key slot [6] with the
woodruff key on the crankshaft.
Attach the cooling fan [1] to the flywheel [2] by aligning
the four projections of the cooling fan with the holes of
the flywheel.
Attach the starter pulley [3] by aligning the following:
– Holes of the pulley and tabs of the cooling fan
– Tab of the pulley and hole of the flywheel
Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and the
seating surface of the nut [1] and loosely tighten the
nut.
Hold the flywheel [2] with a commercially available strap
wrench [3], being careful not to damage the magnet
part.
Tighten the flywheel nut to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 75 N·m (7.5 kgf·m, 55 lbf·ft)
