Description

Simple brake control is used exclusively for controlling holding brakes. With the
holding brake, drives can be secured against undesirable motion when deacti-
vated.
The control command for opening and closing the holding brake is transferred di-
rectly to the Motor Module via DRIVE-CLiQ by the Control Unit that logically links
and monitors the signals with the system-internal processes.
The Motor Module then performs the action and activates the output for the holding
brake. Details of execution control are shown in the List Manual (FD 2701). Param-
eter p1215 can be used to configure operation of the holding brake.
