What you can do with the PCM-D10
For recording live performances
The built-in microphones of the PCM-D10 allow you to record musical performances easily without complicated microphone
setup.
The smartphone app, REC Remote, installed on your smartphone allows you to remotely control the PCM-D10, such as
starting or stopping recording.
You can attach a camera tripod (commercially available) to the PCM-D10.
The Cross-Memory REC function allows you to make a long recording by automatically switching the storage for recorded
files from the built-in memory to the memory card.
For recording musical instrument performances with an external microphone
You can connect an external microphone with the XLR or TRS jack(s) (commercially available) to the XLR/TRS jack(s) on
the linear PCM recorder.
You can connect a commercially-available external microphone that comes with a stereo mini-plug to the MIC IN/LINE IN
jack on the linear PCM recorder.
Long battery life with four LR6 (size AA) alkaline batteries. You can record for approximately 44 hours with the external
microphone connected to the MIC IN/LINE IN jack (recording mode: LPCM 44.1kHz/16bit); or for approximately 6 hours with
the external microphone connected to the XLR/TRS jack(s) (recording mode: LPCM 44.1kHz/16bit with phantom power
supply).
You can monitor audio from the left and right channels independently during recording or playback.
