9. Engine Assembly

A: REMOVAL

1) Set the vehicle on lift arms.
2) Open front hood fully and support with stay.
3) Release fuel pressure. <Ref. to FU-54,
RELEASING OF
OPERATION, Fuel.> or <Ref. to FU(w/oOBD)-48,
RELEASING OF
OPERATION, Fuel.>
4) Remove filler cap.
5) Disconnect battery ground cable.
6) Remove air intake duct and air cleaner case.
<Ref. to IN-7, REMOVAL, Air Intake Duct.> and
<Ref. to IN-6, REMOVAL, Air Cleaner Case.>
7) Remove under cover.
8) Remove radiator from vehicle. <Ref. to CO-21,
REMOVAL, Radiator.>
9) Remove V-belt cover.
10) Collect refrigerant, and remove pressure
hoses. (With A/C)

(1) Place and connect the attachment hose to
the refrigerant recycle system.
(2) Collect refrigerant from A/C system.
(3) Disconnect A/C pressure hoses from A/C
compressor.
11) Remove air cleaner case stay.
