Cancel Play While Ingest; Ingest Kdms - Sony Screen Management System User Manual

The list of sources displayed here is a list of servers
registered using PWI Source. Specify the server of the
source for which Play While Ingest is to be performed. For
details on PWI Source, see "PWI (Play While Ingest)
Source" on page 39.
Select Source
Subfolders and DCPs appear, so tap a DCP to display the
CPL. When you select the CPL for which to perform Play
While Ingest and tap the Prepare PWI button, Play While
Ingest starts or a confirmation dialog box for stopping any
other ingest operations in progress appears. When you tap
Yes, Play While Ingest starts and a notification that the
command has been sent appears.
You can view the progress status of Play While Ingest in
the Now Showing screen. For details, see "Now Showing"
on page 13.
Playback for Play While Ingest is confirmed in the Now
Showing screen and performed from Content Listing. For
details, see "Content Listing" on page 30.
Note
For a standard CPL (2 hours in length), you can start
presentation about 15 minutes after the PWI operation
starts.
Caution
During PWI presentations, the subtitles may take a few
seconds or a few minutes to appear.

Cancel Play While Ingest

When you select the CPL for which Play While Ingest is
being performed and tap the Cancel PWI button, a
confirmation dialog box appears.

When you tap Yes, Play While Ingest is canceled and a
cancellation results dialog will appear after a few
moments.
After Play While Ingest is canceled, any Local Ingest or
Network Ingest operations that were stopped will resume.
If Play While Ingest is performed again, the Local Ingest
or Network Ingest operations will stop again.
In addition, if Play While Ingest is performed again on a
CPL for which Play While Ingest was canceled, Play
While Ingest will resume from the position at which the
previous operation was canceled.
Caution
If you perform Local Ingest or Network Ingest for another
DCP after canceling a PWI operation, the DCP of the
canceled CPL may be marked as Failure DCP. If you
want to perform PWI for this CPL again, remove the
Failure DCP status first.

Ingest KDMs

The DCP associated Key Delivery Message (KDM) must
be ingested into the Media Block's storage system. This
process occurs under control of the Media Block.
To Ingest one or more
KDMs, tap Menu, tap
Content and then tap
Ingest KDM. The
INGEST KDM pane
appears.
While the majority of
KDM operations will
normally take place
using the SMS
Controller, similar
features have been added
to allow operators to
perform KDM Ingest
tasks when the need
arises.
