Set the sensor (item 2).
The default operation mode of the sensor is A.
To change the mode, turn the Jog dial so that the
point where you wish to activate the sensor is
highlighted in blue, then turn the Shuttle dial
clockwise to select B or – (see step 5).
You can change the setting by lines (14 points).
The top-left point is indicated in blue on the initial
display. Turn the Jog dial to move the blue
highlighting to the line (it can be on any point on
that line) for which the setting is to be changed.
When you press the MENU RESET button, the
settings of the line (of all the 16 points on the line)
are changed at once.
Each time you press the menu reset button, the
setting is changed in the sequence of
"A"→"B"→"–"→"A," and so on.
If you wish the sensor to activate when the
luminance of the whole screen becomes
homogeneous, you do not need to set to either A
or B.
CH01 T-1 LEVEL : OFF
3
Select the TIME PERIOD during which the
sensor is to be active (item 3).
You can switch the sensitivity and operation mode
for each time period.
If you turn the Jog dial clockwise while the lowest
right sensor mark is flashing, the Time Period Set
column (selectable among T-1, T-2, T-3 and T-4)
on the lowest line begins flashing.
1) Turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The current setting begins flashing.
2) Turn the Jog dial to select the desired time
period, then turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to
register your selection.
Then, the next column begins flashing.

MODE : A
For details on time period setting, see "Setting the Time
Period," page 59. With the default setting (not to
switch for each time period), set T-1 only.
4
Select the sensitivity of the sensor (item 4).
Make sure that the sensor sensitivity (LEVEL)
column is flashing. You can select the sensitivity
level in the range of 1 to 10. The lower the value
you select, the higher the sensitivity becomes.
Setting to 1 provides the highest sensitivity. With
OFF, the sensor is deactivated.
Select the sensitivity in the same manner as for
selecting the time period.
5
Select the operation mode of the sensor (item
5).
Make sure that the operation mode (MODE)
setting column is flashing.
A: The alarm is triggered when a moving subject is
detected at A points.
B: The alarm is triggered when a moving subject is
detected at B points.
A AND B: The alarm is triggered when a moving
subject is detected at both A and B points.
A AND NB: By your setting points for an
important subject to A and points of a stable
subject at B, an alarm can be triggered
regardless of the change in luminance over the
screen when a change of at A points is detected.
A TO B: The alarm is triggered when a change of
a subject moving from an A point to a B point
is detected.
B TO A: The alarm is triggered when a change of
a subject moving from a B point to an A point
is detected.
C: The alarm is triggered when the luminance of
the whole screen becomes homogeneous (for
example, if paint is sprayed on the camera lens).
Repeating steps 3, 4, and 5 enables you to vary the
settings for Level (item 4) and Mode (item 5) for
each time period.
Example:
T-1: LEVEL 1, MODE A
T-2: LEVEL 5, MODE B TO A
T-3: LEVEL OFF
T-4: LEVEL 3, MODE B
