8.2.1 Configuring EPXPNS001 Parameters
After adding a EPXPNS001 to the LAN, its parameters can be configured by either double-clicking on
the scanner in the Navigator, or right-clicking and selecting Configure from the menu.
PROFINET Scanner Parameters IO-device Access Point
Inputs Default: Choose whether the RX3i CPU will set inputs from any modules in the EPXPNS001
module's remote node to Off or Hold Last State in the following cases:
• The EPXPNS001 is not operational or is removed.
• The EPXPNS001 cannot reach the scanner due to cable or network configuration issues.
• The EPXPNS001 is not able to scan the VersaMax module in its remote node.
I/O Scan Set: Specifies the I/O scan set to be assigned to the EPXPNS001. Scan sets are defined in the
CPU's Scan Sets tab. The valid range is 1 through 32; the default value is 1.
PROFINET Scanner Parameters (Media Redundancy Tab)
By default, the EPXPNS001 is not set up for Media Redundancy. If the system will use Media
Redundancy, open the Media Redundancy Tab and select Client.
