Conettix Plug-in cellular modules

Plug-in cellular modules provide communication between the control panel and central
monitoring stations, RPS or the Installer Services Portal programming tool (available in
Europe, Middle East, Africa, and China) using a cellular network. The module sends and
receives SMS messages for personal notification or system configuration.
The control panel supports one plug-in cellular module.
Connect a module using the plug-in module connector or using a B450 (refer B450 Conettix
plug-in communicator interface, page 38).

B426 Ethernet Communication Module

The B426 is a four-wire powered SDI2 device with Ethernet port for IP connectivity.
Refer to the module's installation documentation for more information.
The control panel supports one module.
The module connects to the SDI2 bus on the control panel using the SDI2 terminals, or using
the SDI2 interconnect wiring connector.

documentation, page 12.

Address and emulation settings

Notice!
The module reads the address switch setting only during module power up. If you change the
setting after you apply power to the module, you must cycle the power to the module in order
for the new setting to take effect.
Set the address switch to 1.

Supervision

The control panel supervises in two ways:

B426 module faults

With a B426 installed, several services become available to the control panel. Any break in the
Ethernet connection to a supervised B426 results in a system fault at the keypads indicating
Open Cable trouble.

Module supervision. The control panel supervises the module through polling. If the
module does not respond to the control panel polling, the control panel declares the
device missing.
Communication supervision. The control panel supervises the communication path by
polling the central station receiver. If the poll is missed from either side, a communication
fault is declared both at the control panel and the central station receiver.
Function
Unplugged from an Ethernet network, or the Ethernet
network is not available.
