Radio
Your radio is equipped w ith a spe­
cially designed Stereo Decoder
w hich autom atically switches the
radio from stereo to m ono recep­
tion if the signal becomes too
weak. However, the Stereo Indi­
cator Light remains lit to avoid the
distracting flicker at short-tim e
signal changes. The radio w ill
return to the stereo mode autom at­
ically when signal strength per­
mits it.
Tape Playback
(M exico Cassette Model)
This type o f radio provides fo r the
playback of prerecorded stereo

music through the unique com bi­
nation o f all the features o f an
autom atic signalseeking stereo
radio w ith a tape player.
To start playback, insert stereo
cassette through the sw ing-aw ay
door o f the cassette slot and
depress until the mechanism
engages. (Note: Full reel on the
right tape side o f cassette first.)
The cassette w ill be autom atically
released when the tape reaches its
end. To play the other side, remove
the cassette from the radio, turn it
upside dow n and reinsert through
the slot. To manually eject the
cassette, push the release bar (7).
W hen the cassette is ejected, the
unit w ill autom atically sw itch to
radio reception.
For fast fo rw a rd or rewind o f the
tape, depress button 8 or 9 past
point o f resistance. To stop tape
w inding, depress opposing button
to point o f resistance only.
Care o f the Tape Player
Use only good quality cassettes
w ith a m axim um playing tim e of
45 m inutes per side (C 90).
"U n w o u n d " tapes can be fixed by
rew inding either reel w ith a pencil
inserted in its hub. The pick-up
head and roller should be cleaned
occasionally to maintain the o rig­
inal high quality sound repro­
duction.
