ment, the vehicle requires care and
maintenance.
A maintenance booklet is delivered
w ith your car listing all the m ain
tenance jobs that m ust be carried
out after the fo llo w in g mileages:
•
Once after 300 to 600 miles
(500 -
1,000 km).
•
Once after 3,000 miles
(5,000 km).
•
A fte r 12,500 miles (20,000 km)
and thereafter every 12,500 m i
les (20,000 km), but at least
once a year.
W e w ould also like to draw your
attention to the hints contained in
the maintenance booklet covering
necessary lubrication services
every 3,000 miles (5,000 km), lu
brication and brake inspections
every 6,000 miles (10,000 km),
additional maintenance jobs every
37,500 miles (60,000 km) and
MB individual maintenance as
required.

Renew brake fluid once a year,
preferably in spring. Use only re
com m ended brake fluids.
The vehicle must receive the pre
scribed maintenance a nd /or lubri
cation w ork at the specified inter
vals as listed in the maintenance
booklet. Verification o f perform
ance o f such m aintenance/lubrica
tion w ork should be recorded in
the spaces provided in the m ain
tenance booklet.
The maintenance jobs are de
scribed in detail in a manual w hich
you can order from your
MERCEDES-BENZ service station.
A small sticker attached to the
door post o f the driver's door by
the service station personnel is to
remind you when the next main
tenance service, lubrication and
brake inspection or lubrication
service is due.

Severe O perating Conditions
In the case o f severe operating
conditions or heavy use mainly in
c ity tra ffic or over short distances,
frequent m ountain driving, poor
roads, dusty and m uddy con
ditions, trailer operation, hard and
sporty driving, etc., it may be nec
essary to inspect e.g.
•
the fro n t axle brake linings
•
the tires
at shorter intervals.
