Option 300, Advanced Amplitude Analysis/RIN/Q-factor

The Advanced Amplitude Analysis/RIN/Q-factor software extends Jitter Mode
into the amplitude domain adding noise measurements such as BER Floor,
BER Limit, Signal Amplitude, Eye Opening, RIN, Q, TI, RN, DI, ISI, and PI. The
following graphs are also provided:
• RN, PI Histogram
• ISI Histogram
• TI Histogram
• Composite Histogram
• ISI vs Bit graph
• Noise Spectrum graph
• BER Bathtub graph
Once installed, press the front-panel Jitter Mode button to access the mea-
surements. Advanced Amplitude Analysis/RIN/Q-Factor Software requires the
installation of Option 200, Enhanced Jitter Analysis Software and Option 001,
Enhanced Trigger.
86100CU-400 PLL and Jitter Spectrum Measurement Appli-
cation
Agilent offers a free Jitter Spectrum and Phase Noise application that per-
forms jitter analysis that is similar to a spectrum-analyzer based phase-noise
test system. The application runs on a PC and remotely controls an 86100C.
The 86100C must have installed either an 83496B clock recovery module or an
86108A precision waveform analyzer module.
