USB connect ion t o PC requires inst allat ion of drivers for bot h t he Port and t he Windows Driver it self as
described in St eps A and B below. All t he files necessary for inst allat ion are locat ed on t he Accessories CD-
Rom . Connect t he print er t o t he host PC via a st andard USB Cable and follow t he st eps below. The following
st eps are for a t ypical Windows XP syst em , ot her versions of Windows m ay vary.
St e p A: W in dow s Por t D r ive r I n st a lla t ion :
1) Turn on t he print er and wait unt il t he st art - up
init ializat ion is com plet e. The PC w ill t hen det ect
t he print er and launch t he " Found New Hardware
Wizard" .
2) Select t he " No, not t his t im e" radio but t on and
t hen click Next .
3) Select t he " I nst all from a list or specific
( Advanced) " radio but t on and t hen click Next .
4) Select t he " Search for t he best driver in t hese
locat ions" radio but t on.
5) Check t he " I nclude t his locat ion in t he search"
checkbox and t hen click Browse.
6) Navigat e t o driver folder on t he CD- ROM,
assum ing your CD/ DVD drive is labeled D: t he
pat h would be as follows:
My Com put er> D: > asset s> windriver
7) Select t he folder and t hen Click 'OK'. Then Click
Next .
