Cot t on Swab t echnique was not successful, clean t he print head as follows:
1) Open t he print er. W a it br ie fly for t h e Pr in t h e a d t o cool.
2) Rem ove m edia and ribbon t hen place a Cleaning Card under t he Print head ( part num ber 70- 2013-
01) .
3) Close t he cover t hen press t he
4) Aft er t he cleaning card has been run t hrough t he print er, reinst all m edia ( and ribbon, if needed) .
Plug in and t urn ON t he print er. Run a few sam ple labels and exam ine t hem . I f st reaking is st ill
present , use t he Cleaning Film Procedure, below; ot herwise, t his com plet es cleaning.

when ot her m et hods prove unsuccessful, clean t he print head as follows:
1) Open t he print er. W a it br ie fly for t h e Pr in t h e a d t o cool..
2) Rem ove m edia and ribbon t hen place a sheet of Cleaning Film under t he Print head ( part num ber
70- 2087- 01) .
3) Close t he cover t hen press
4) Aft er t he cleaning film has been run t hrough t he print er, t urn OFF t he Power Swit ch and unplug
t he print er. Open t he cover and w a it br ie fly for t h e Pr in t h e a d t o cool. Using a cot t on swab
m oist ened ( not soaked) wit h isopropyl alcohol, clean t he Print head t hen allow it t o dry.
5) Reinst all m edia ( and ribbon, if needed) . Plug in and t urn ON t he print er. Run a few sam ple labels
and exam ine t hem . I f st reaking is st ill present , t he Print head m ay need t o be replaced; see
