Troubleshooting by Symptom

This section describes troubleshooting method by symptom. Perform these troubleshooting if data link cannot be performed
even though no error is detected in the master/local module. If an error has occurred in the master/local module, identify the
error cause using the engineering tool. ( Page 223 Checking the Network Status)
When cyclic transmission cannot be performed
The following lists the actions to be taken if cyclic transmission cannot be performed.
Check item
Is the D LINK LED of the master or slave station turned off or flashing?
Is a slave station specified as a reserved station in "Network Configuration
Settings" of "Basic Settings" of the master station?
Is "RX/RY Setting" or "RWw/RWr Setting" for slave stations configured in
"Network Configuration Settings" under "Basic Settings" of the master station?
Do the station numbers set in "Network Configuration Settings" under "Basic
Settings" of the master station match those set for corresponding slave
stations?
Do the station types set in the network configuration settings of the master
station match those set for the connected slave stations?
Is the range set in "Refresh Settings" of "Basic Settings" correct?
Is any refresh target device in "Refresh Settings" of "Basic Settings"
overlapped with that of another network module?
Are the transfer ranges set in "Interlink Transmission Settings" of "Application
Settings" correct?
Are the source and destination modules set in "Interlink Transmission
Settings" of "Application Settings" correct?
Is the station number of the master/local module duplicated with any of the
other stations?
If the above action does not solve the problem, perform the module communication test to check for hardware failure. (
