Causes
1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.

1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.
2. Defective switch.
3. Defective PWB.
1. A piece of paper torn
from paper is caught

sor 1, 2, PF paper
conveying sensor
1,2.

cable or poor con-

Check procedures/corrective measures
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF pickup solenoid 1 and PF main PWB (YC5)
PF pickup solenoid 2 and PF main PWB (YC14)
Replace the PF pickup solenoid 1 or 2.
Replace the PF main PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-5-9).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF paper feed sensor 1 and PF main PWB (YC5)
PF paper feed sensor 2 and PF main PWB (YC4)
Check visually and replace if necessary.
Replace the PFpaper feed sensor 1 or 2.
Replace the PF main PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-5-9).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF paper size length switch 1 and PF main PWB (YC3)
PF paper size width switch 1 and PF main PWB (YC3)
PF paper size length switch 2 and PF main PWB (YC6)
PF paper size width switch 2 and PF main PWB (YC6)
Replace the PF paper size length switch 1, 2 or PF paper
width switch 1, 2.
Replace the PF main PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-5-9).
Check visually and remove it, if any.
Replace the PF feed sensor 1, 2, PF paper conveying sen-
sor 1,2.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF paper conveying cover switch and PF main PWB (YC5)
Replace the PF paper conveying cover switch.
