Creating and Sending Messages

Basic Operation
The following steps show you the basic way to create and
send messages.

Press B.
The main menu appears.

Press a, b, c or d to highlight "Messages"
and press B.
The "Messages" menu appears.

Press a or b to highlight "Create message"
press B.

Press a or b to highlight "SMS," "MMS" or
"E-mail" and press B.

Enter the phone number or E-mail address of the
destination you wish to send the message to and
press B.
If you are sending an SMS message:
You can only enter a phone number.
If you are sending an MMS message:
You can enter either a phone number or an E-mail
address.
If you are sending an E-mail message:
You can only enter an E-mail address.
In step 5, you can use several useful optional
functions for selecting a destination or reselecting
message type, etc. For information on these
functions, refer to "Address Options" on page 11-70.

Enter your message.
For information on how to enter text, refer to
"Entering Text" on page 8-51.
In step 6, you can use several useful optional
functions such as using text templates or attaching
files to the message, etc. For information on these
functions, refer to "Message Options" on
page 11-71.
You can check the message length at the top right
of the message screen to figure out how many
more characters you can enter.

When you have finished writing the message,
press B.

Press a or b to highlight "Send" and press B.
The handset starts to send the message. After
sending the message, the message is listed in the
"Sent" box.
If you wish to save the message in the "Drafts" box,
select "Save to Drafts."
