Remote Supervisor Adapter communication connectors

The server has four communication connectors that are used by the Remote
Supervisor Adapter. Three of the connectors are located on the adapter and one is
located at the lower left corner of the rear panel (as viewed from the rear).
If you want to use the Remote Supervisor Adapter to manage the server remotely
or to connect the server to another server, connect the appropriate cables to the
Remote Supervisor Adapter connectors.
To enable remote server management through a network, use the Remote
Supervisor Adapter Ethernet port (RJ-45). To enable remote server management
using a modem, use the Remote Supervisor Adapter management port. To connect
the server with another server, use the ASM interconnect port (RJ-14). See the
Remote Supervisor Adapter documentation on the IBM Documentation CD for more
information.
The following illustration shows the communication connectors on the Remote
Supervisor Adapter.
