NOTES:
Upgrade the SSP 7.1 firmware as follows:

Ensure that you are using the latest versions of the SSP 7.1 Setup and Control

Software and firmware. To update firmware, install the Extron Firmware Loader on your
PC. All three programs are available from the Extron website.
To download software or firmware from the Extron website, click on the

Turn off or disconnect all audio inputs before updating the firmware.
ATTENTION:
Updating the firmware while the unit is still accepting active audio inputs may cause

the firmware update to freeze.

Power on the SSP 7.1 and a computer.
Connect the computer to the SSP 7.1 through the rear panel RS-232 captive screw
connector.
If necessary, install the Extron Firmware Loader utility. This can be downloaded from
www.extron.com.
From the same site, download the firmware for the SSP 7.1.
