Setup Troubleshooting

Symptoms and Actions

A GPIB error occurs.
T he remote device address may be incorrect or the GPIB cable may not yet be connected.
T he GPIB cable cannot be connected.
The GPIB cable may interfere with the chassis of your PC and not be plugged correctly into the interface
connector of the board depending on the structure of your PC, for example, when the slots are located in
the rear panel of the PC too deeply.
You can use the GPIB connector adapter (CN-GP/C) to work around this problem.
As this problem occurs on most PCs with Low Profile PCI slots, a CN-GP/C is included with the
GP-IB(LPCI)F and the GP-IB(LPCI)FL.
