Starting the Engine
1.
Follow steps )·2 under Normal Air Temperature.
2. When engine rpm begins to pick up, operate the choke lever
to keep fast idle at 2,200 - 2,800 rpm.
3.
Continue wanning up
the
engine
until it runs smoothly
and
responds to the
~rottle
when the choke lever is at Fully OFF.
Extended use of the choke may impair piston and cylinder wall
lubrication and damage the engine.
Snapping the throttle or fast idling for more than about 5
minutes at nannal air temperature may cause exhaust
pipe
discoloration.

Engine
If the engine fails to stan after repeated attempts. it may be
flooded
with excess fuel. To clear a flooded engine:
I.
Tum the engine stop
switch OFF.
2. Push the choke lever up all the way to OFF.
3. Open the throuJe fully.
4.
Press
the start/reverse button for 5 seconds.
5. Wait 10 seconds, then tum the engine stop switch to RUN.
