Wheels
Removal,
I. Park your motorcycle on
its
center sland on a firm, level
surface.
2. Raise the front wheel off the ground
with
a jack and place a
support block under the engine.
3. Remove the parts in sequence, as indicated
by
the illustration
(page 128).
• To avoid damage to the brake hose during removal,
suppon the caliper assembly so that
it
doesn't hang from
lhe hose.
Do
nm twist the brake hose.
• Avoid getting grease, oil, or dirt on the disc or pad
surfaces. Any contamination can cause poor brake
performance or rapid pad wear after reassembly.
• Avoid depressing the brake lever and brake pedal when
the wheel is off the motorcycle. This will force the caliper
pistons out of the cylinders. The result will be a loss of
brake nuid.lfthis occurs, the brake system will require
service. See your Honda dealer for this service.

I. Reassemble the removed parts in the reverse order of
removal.
• When installing the wheel, position the speedometer
gearbox so that the lug on the gearbox is against the rear
of the stopper lug on the left fork.
• To avoid damaging the brake pads, carefully fit both brake
discs between the pads.
