Remove the cable cover.

Connect an IEEE 1284 interface cable to the IEEE 1284 port.
You might have to use a conversion adapter to connect the cable to the interface. For details about
acquiring a conversion adapter, contact your sales or service representative.
5.
Connect the other end of the cable into the interface connector on the host computer.
Before connecting the cable to the computer, check the shape of the connector. Connect the cable
firmly.
6.
Attach the cable cover.
7.
Turn on the main power switch of the printer.
