CAUTION
To Install and Replace
MSAM
When you first receive your VX 680 terminal, you may need to install an MSAM
card or you may need to replace old cards.
Observe standard precautions when handling electrostatically sensitive devices.
Electrostatic discharges can damage this equipment. VeriFone recommends
using a grounded anti-static wrist strap.

Power off the terminal.

Place the terminal upside down on a soft, clean surface to protect the display
from scratches.

Unlock the printer cover.

Unscrew the latch to expose the MSAM compartment. (see
Figure 17 Exposing the MSAM Compartment

Remove any previously installed MSAM card by pushing the snap that keeps
the SAM in place.
