Processor

HP ProLiant SL165s G7 Server, with 4 nodes, supports eight-processor operation. With two
processors installed, each node supports boot functions through the processor installed in processor
socket 1. However, if processor 1 fails, the system automatically boots from processor 2 and provides
a processor failure message.
The processor socket supports AMD Opteron 6132HE processor; AMD Opteron 6166HE processor;
AMD Opteron 6140 processor; AMD Opteron 6176 processor; AMD Opteron 6128 processor;
AMD Opteron 6136 processor; AMD Opteron 6172 processor.
CAUTION: It is recommended to use processors of same speeds or cache sizes to prevent possible
server malfunction.
