Features
Redundant Power Supply Capability
The 800-Series has power supply redundancy capability when connected to an optional external
redundant power supply:
•
08A-RPS-150P, a 156 Watt DC power supply capable of providing power to a fully-loaded
non-PoE+ 800-Series switch. This RPS can be used together with the 08H20G4-24, 08H20G4-48,
08G20G4-24, and 08G20G4-48.
•
08A-RPS-500, a 500 Watt DC power supply for redundant PoE+ power capability. This RPS
can be used together with the 08H20G4-24P, 08H20G4-48P, 08G20G4-24P, and 08G20G4-48P.
•
08A-RPS-24, a 35 Watt DC redundant power supply. This RPS can be used together with the
08G20G2-08.
•
08A-RPS-130P, a 135 Watt DC redundant power supply. This RPS can be used together with
the 08G20G2-08P.
If the internal power supply fails, the RPS automatically assumes the role of the internal power
supply without interrupting network traffic. The internal power supply and RPS each have their
own AC power connection, which enables the connection of each power supply to a different AC
power circuit for additional AC power source redundancy.
Management
Management of the switch can be either in-band or out-of-band. In-band remote management is
possible using TELNET, SSH, or the Web User Interface. Out-of-band management is provided
through the RJ45 Console port connector on the front panel using a VT100 terminal or a VT100
terminal emulator. Both the Command Line Interface and the Web User Interface provides the
user with complete switch management.
Switch Configuration Using the Web User Interface
The Web User Interface enable you to perform complete switch configuration management tasks.
