To set a local password to control access to Normal and Privilege levels
activities.
1 Click Switch Management > Management Security > Enable Password
for CLI.
1 Click Edit to enter the fields:
Select Enable Access Level — Select the access level to associate with
the enable password. The following access levels are available:
Read-Only — Users with this access level can only view
information.
Read-Write — Users with this access level can access and use the
Networking Administrator.
Password — Enter the enable password.
Confirm Password — Confirm the password.
Expiry Date — If Global Aging was selected in the
Management, displays the expiration date of the enable password.
Lockout Status — Displays the number of failed authentication
attempts since the user last logged in successfully (if the Enable
Login Attempts checkbox is selected in the
Management
locked.
Reactivate Lockout Status — Check to reactivate the specified user's
access rights. Access rights can be suspended after unsuccessfully
attempting to login.
Active Users
To view the active users on the device:
Click Switch Management > Management Security > Active Users.
The following fields are displayed for all active users:
Name — Active users logged into the device.
Protocol — The management method by which the user is connected
to the device.
Location — The user's IP address.
