Introduction

Description
The Control Units 320 (CU320) of the SINAMICS S system are principally designed for use
with several drives.
The number of variable-speed drives depends on:
• The required performance
• The required special functions
• The required operating mode (servo, vector, or V/f).
The software and the parameters are stored on a plug-in CompactFlash Card.
The option slot is used to expand the number of terminals or adapt to other communication
interfaces (to the higher-level control).
