Test Emergency Lowering

15 Activate the up function by pressing the lift
enable button and platform up button, and
raise the platform approximately 2 ft. / 60 cm.
16 For GS-30 Models
Pull the emergency lowering knob located
behind the entry ladder.
For GS-32, GS-46 and GS-47 Models
Pull the emergency lowering knob located on
the ground controls side of the machine, at the
steer end.
Result: The platform should lower. The
descent alarm will not sound.
17 Turn the key switch to platform control.

At the Platform Controls
Test Emergency Stop
18 Push in the platform red Emergency Stop
button to the off position.
Result: No functions should operate.

Test the Horn

19 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the
on position.
20 Press the horn button.
Result: The horn should sound.
Use the button pattern on the platform
controls to determine which of these next
two function tests to perform.
Use this function test procedure if the decal on
your platform controls has these buttons.
Test the Function Enable Switch and the
Up/Down Functions
21 Do not hold the function enable switch on the
control handle.
22 Slowly move the control handle in the direction
indicated by the blue arrow, then in the
direction indicated by the yellow arrow.
Result: No functions should operate.
