Test the Manual Platform
Lowering Operation
Detection of manual platform lowering system
malfunctions is essential for safe machine
operation. An unsafe working condition exists if
the manual platform lowering function does not
operate in the event of a main power loss.
1 Turn the key switch to ground control and pull
out the Emergency Stop button to the
position at both the platform and ground
controls.
2 Raise the platform approximately
2 feet (0.6 m).
3 Pull the manual platform lowering handle or
push the manual lowering button located next
to the ground controls.
Result: The platform should lower. The descent
alarm will not sound.

Test the Tilt Sensor

Perform this test from the ground
with the platform controls. Do not
stand in the platform.
1 Fully lower the platform.
2 Place a 2x4 inch (5x10 cm) block or similar
piece of wood in front of both wheels on one
side and drive the machine up onto them.
3 Raise the platform.
Result: When the platform is raised 7 feet
(2.1 m) from the ground, an alarm should
sound.
CE models: When the platform is
raised 7 feet (2.1 m) from the
ground, an alarm should sound
and the lift and drive functions
should not operate.
4 Lower the platform and drive the machine off
the blocks.
