Hearing calls via loudspeaker (handsfree)

You can switch on the installed handsfree microphone. You can then hear
your caller's amplified voice and you may speak with him or her without
holding the handset.
Switching on the loudspeaker for handsfree operation
You are on the phone.

Switch on the loudspeaker for handsfree operation: Press the R
button (long).
Switching off the speaker for handsfree operation
You are on the phone. The conversation will be amplified by the
handsfree speaker.

Switch off the loudspeaker: Press the R button (long).
Handsfree operation with the handset in the charger.
The "Handsfree" setting must be selected in the "Set telephone > Charger"
menu for this function (→ p. 52).
You are on the phone.
Set the handset into the charger. Handsfree operation is automatically

The handsfree microphone is switched off automatically once you hang up
the call.
You will enjoy the best sound quality if you place the handset on the table
with the keypad facing downward.
