DTMF suffix dialling (digits as tone signals)

You may transmit digits during a call, thus enabling the remote control of an
answering machine, for example. Your system administrator will inform you
of the required code (→ p. 64).
Transmitting digits
You are on the phone.
Enter the code to activate DTMF suffix dialling, e. g., star
key, 12.
Enter the digits, e. g., 6789. Each digit is
transmitted as a DTMF signal. The digits are not displayed.
Automatic deactivation of DTMF suffix dialling
DTMF suffix dialling is deactivated automatically after a certain time.
DTMF suffix dialling is automatically deactivated when the handset
is replaced.
Manual deactivation of DTMF suffix dialling
Enter the code, e. g., #12.
In the event that the code for deactivating contains a hash symbol, and you
wish to transmit a hash "#" as a DTMF tone signal, you should then press
the hash symbol twice: ##
You can store the code for DTMF suffix dialling in the local phone book.
When DTMF suffix dialling is switched on, "DTMF" is shown in the lower
right section of the display.
The time after which DTMF is automatically switched off is specified in the
Integral CORS Master.
