6. Remove the speedometer gear box, gear box retainer cover,
gear box retainer and O-fingo
7. Remove the oil seals from the speedometer gear box and
wheel hub.

8. Remove the bearing retainer with "Bearing Retainer
Wrench" (Tool No. 97910-3230101).
9. Remove the ball bearings and spacercollar from the front
wheel hub.

l. Check the front wheel axIe bendo
Standard value:
O.OSmm (O.OO20-in.) max.
Service limit:
O.2mm (O.OO79-in.)
2. Check the spokes far looseness, bend or any other damage.
3. Check the front wheel rim far face runout.
Standard value: O.Smm (O.O197-in.) max.

4. Check the brake disc far warpage.
Piace the brake disc on a surface plate with the indicating
needle of a dia! gauge resting against the brake disco
Measurements should be taken in the several places aver the
brake disc by moving the indicator needle as necessary.
Service Iimit:
O.O5mm (O.O20-in.)
5. Check the brake disc for face runout.

With the disc installed, hold the front wheel axle and
measure the face runout of the disc with a dial gauge.
St'lndard value: O.OSmm (O.OO2O-in.) max.
Service limit:
0.3 mm I (0.012-in.)1
6. Measure the thickness of the brake disco
Standard value: 6.9-7.1mm (0.2717-0.279S-in.)
Service limit:
6.0mm (O.2362-in.)

Assembly
l. Hand pack the wheel bearings and wheel hub with
recommended grease. Drive the ball bearings into pIace in
the hub using "Bearing Driver Attachment"
(Tool No.
07946-9350200) and
"Driver
Handle"
(Tool
No.
07949-6110000).
NOTES:
a. Do not forget to install the spacer collar.
b. Install the bearings with the seal side toward the outside.
