Modes for the source (to see the menu, hold down
for 2.5 seconds):
• SCAN ALL ON: The source changes the channel
automatically.
SCAN ALL OFF: You press
the channel.
• AUTO : ON: The source transmits a wavelength
identifier that a MultiFiber Pro meter can read.
OFF: The source does not transmit a wavelength
identifier because the source is in 2 kHz mode. See
page "Auto Wavelength Function" on page 13.
• MODE 2 kHz: The output is a 2 kHz modulated
optical signal. Use this mode to identify fibers at
patch panels. See "How to Identify Cables or Fibers"
on page 26.
• SET : Lets you change the wavelength when AUTO
is OFF.
