7.0 Troubleshooting and correction

You have chosen the best quality and therefore deserve the best service. To avoid unnecessary disap-
pointments, you should check the following before contacting the nearest ALTO service organisation.
Fault
Motor refuses to start
Motor stops
Fuse blows
Pump pressure too high
Pump pressure fluctuating
Pressure too low but steady Nozzle worn
Motor starts but
no working pressure

The machine can be restarted by turning the start button to position O. Wait until the motor has cooled.
Machines with automatic
start/stop:
The machine starts
irregularly by itself
Should other malfunctions occur than those mentioned above, please contact the nearest ALTO service
organisation.

Correction
Connect plug.
Try another socket.
Change the fuse.
Try without extension cable.
Push the start button twice. *)
Change the fuse
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to
the specifications on the model tag.
Restart, turning the start button to position O. *)
Change to an installation higher than the am
pere consumption of the machine.
Clean the nozzle (see section 6.1)
(Check whether the water filter is missing).
Detach high pressure extension hoses and retry
(extension hoses max. 10 m).
Allow the cleaner to run with open spray handle
and the spray lance adjusted to low pressure
until the pressure is regular.
Check that the water supply corresponds to
specifications.
NB: Avoid long thin hoses (min. ½")
Clean the filter (see section 6.2).
Straighten out the hoses.
Detach high pressure extension hoses and retry
(extension hoses max. 10 m).
Change the nozzle
Activate and release the spray handle 5 times
in quick succession.
Let pump/hoses or accessories thaw out.
Connect the water supply.
Clean the filter (see section 6.2).
Clean the nozzle (see section 6.1).

Restart the machine.
