Configuring the phone via the Web configurator
This setting only has to be changed if the port numbers are already being used by
other subscribers in the LAN. You can then specify other fixed port numbers or port
number ranges for the SIP and RTP port.
If several VoIP phones are operated on the same router with NAT, it makes sense to
use randomly selected ports. The phones must then use different ports so that the
router's NAT is only able to forward incoming calls and voice data to one (the
intended) phone. Use the Web configurator to specify a port number range for the
SIP and RTP port that the ports are chosen from.
Making settings for access to Internet services
You can use the following Internet services on your phone.

E-mail notifications
In order to use the e-mail function of your base, you have to save the address of
the POP3 server and your personal access data for your mailbox in the base.
You can save the access data for up to six e-mail accounts on your base and
assign the related incoming message lists to the individual handsets registered.
You can also specify the time interval at which your phone should check
whether the POP3 servers have received new e-mail messages and specify
whether authentication on the POP3 server should be performed via a secure
connection.

Info services
You can configure your handset to display text information of a selected info
service in the idle display. To do this, you must switch on the Live Ticker screen-
saver on your handset. The weather forecast is already preset.
If you register a Gigaset C ... (from C59H onwards), SL ... or S ... (from S79H
onwards) additionally, you can call up online content from the Internet (weather
forecasts, news feeds and so on) on this handset, i. e. request info services (Apps)
that are provided specifically for the telephone. You call up this info centre via
the menu of the handset.
You can only use the Live Ticker screensaver and the info centre if you activate
the info services for your phone.
To do this, you must activate the Activate Info Services option on the Web con-
figurator page:

You can configure your personal info services, which are available in the Live
Ticker screensaver or in the info centre, on the Gigaset. net Web-Portal. How you
get access to the Gigaset. net Portal (URL and personal access data), you will also
find on this Web configurator page.

Online directories
The access data to the public online directories of different providers are saved
on the base. You can save the access data of one additional provider on your
base.
From the list of saved online directories, select those (as many as you like) that
you want to use on your phone.
