Yearly or before storage
Every 2 years
Important: Refer to your Engine Operator's Manual for additional maintenance procedures.
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition before you do any maintenance.
Premaintenance
Procedures
Before opening any of the covers, stop the engine
and remove the key. Allow the engine to cool
before opening any covers

Opening the Hood

1. Push down on the hood while using a coin or
screwdriver to turn the hood latch clockwise
(Figure 27).

2. Swing the hood up (Figure 28).
Maintenance Procedure
• Check and adjust the track tension.
• Touch up chipped paint
• Drain and clean the fuel tank (Authorized Service Dealer only).
2. Hood latch, turn clockwise

Closing the Hood

Lower the hood and secure it by pushing down on
the front of the hood until it locks in place.

Opening the Rear Access

Cover

1. Unscrew the 2 hand knobs securing the rear
access cover to the machine (Figure 29).
