7. If the ERC Handles are moved to neutral, Auto Heading turns off, a single beep sounds,
and the "STANDBY" light turns on. You cannot resume your course by pressing the
"RESUME" button.
Pressing the "AUTO HEADING" button causes VesselView to displays the "AUTO
HEADING" screen for three seconds. If the VesselView "AUTO HEADING" screen does
not appear, the "AUTO HEADING" screen needs to be activated in VesselView calibration.
Axius CAN still engages whether the screen appears or not.
NOTE: If you press the "AUTO HEADING" button a second time, the Axius CAN goes to
Standby mode and all lights other than "STANDBY" turn off.

DISENGAGE AUTO HEADING

1. Disengage the Auto Heading mode by any of the following actions:

Current heading
Place the ERC levers for both engines in neutral.
Turn the steering wheel beyond the electronic detent.
Press the "AUTO HEADING" button on the Axius track pad. The "AUTO
HEADING" button LED light turns off.
