Replacing the Drive Belt

If drive belt becomes worn, oil-soaked, excessively cracked,
frayed, or otherwise damaged, replace the belt.
1. Remove the drive side cover (1) by removing the six screws
(2) as shown.
2. Press down on front of idler arm (4) to release the belt tension.
3. Remove the drive belt (7) from the drive pulley (3).
4. Install the new drive belt, routing it as shown in.
NOTE: Route the new drive belt first around the engine pulley
(6), then the idler pulley (5), and finally around the drive pulley (3)
while pressing down on the front of the idler arm (4).
5. Install the drive side cover (1) with the screws (2) removed
in step 1.
NOTE: Ensure that the drive belt is properly adjusted and
operating; refer to Checking the Control Cable and Adjusting the
Control Cable in the Maintenance section of this manual.
Austauschen des Antriebsriemens
Ist der Antriebsriemen abgenutzt, ölgetränkt, stark ausgefranst
oder gerissen oder in anderer Weise beschädigt, muss er
ausgetauscht werden.
1. Entfernen Sie die seitliche Abdeckung über dem Antriebsrie-
men (1), indem Sie die sechs auf der Abbildung angegebenen
Schrauben (2) lösen.
2. Drücken Sie das vordere Ende des Zwischenhebels (4) nach
unten, um die Spannung vom Antriebsriemen zu nehmen.
3. Nehmen Sie den Antriebsriemen (7) von der Antriebsriemen-
scheibe (3) ab.
4. Setzen Sie den neuen Antriebsriemen ein. Führen Sie ihn,
wie auf der Abbildung gezeigt.
HINWEIS: Drücken Sie das vordere Ende des Zwischenhebels
(4) nach unten und führen Sie dabei den neuen Antriebsriemen
erst um die Motorriemenscheibe (6), dann um die Umlenkrolle
(5) und zuletzt um die Antriebsriemenscheibe (3).
5. Installieren Sie die seitliche Abdeckung über dem Antriebsrie-
men (1) mit den Schrauben (2), die Sie in Schritt 1 entfernt
haben.
HINWEIS: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Antriebsriemen
korrekt eingestellt ist und funktioniert. Schlagen Sie dazu unter
„Prüfen der Steuerleitung" und „Einstellen der Steuerleitung" im
Kapitel „Wartung" dieses Handbuchs nach.
Changement de la courroie

Si la courroie est usée, imbibée d'huile, excessivement fissurée,
effilée ou présente d'autres signes d'usure, remplacez-la.
1. Déposez le capot latéral (1) en retirant les six vis (2), comme
illustré.
2. Appuyez sur l'avant du bras de renvoi (4) pour détendre la
courroie.
3. Retirez la courroie (7) de la poulie d'entraînement (3).
4. Installez une nouvelle courroie en l'acheminant comme illustré.
REMARQUE: Commencez par faire passer la nouvelle courroie
autour de la poulie du moteur (6), puis autour de la poulie
guide (5) et enfin autour de la poulie d'entraînement (3) tout en
appuyant sur l'avant du bras de renvoi (4).
5. Replacez le capot latéral (1) à l'aide des vis (2) que vous
aviez retirées à l'étape 1.
REMARQUE: Vérifiez que la courroie est bien ajustée et
fonctionne correctement ; reportez-vous aux sections «
Vérification du câble de commande » et « Réglage du câble de
commande » du chapitre Entretien du présent manuel.
