Avaya P550R/P580/P880/P882 MultiService Switch Installation Guide, v5.3
Each power supply powers approximately three I/O modules. It
takes two power supplies to power a full chassis. Using three power
supplies ensures that the system has fault-tolerant load-sharing
power capabilities.
