2. Install:
• Grommet 1
• Wiring harness 2
• Battery cable 3
• Warning indicator lead 4
NOTE:
Align the taped end a of the battery cable with
the end of the grommet.
3. Install:
• Cable stopper 1
• Rubber seal 2
• Shift cable 3
• Throttle cable 4
4. Adjust:
• Shift cable joint position
Adjustment steps:
• Set the shift lever 1 to the neutral posi-
tion.
• Set the shift rod 2 to the neutral position.
• Adjust the position of the cable joint 3
until its hole aligns with the set pin 4.
• Install the clip 5, and then tighten the
locknut 6.
WARNING
The cable joint must be screwed in a
minimum of 8.0 mm (0.31 in).
5. Check:
• Shift operation
Unsmooth operation → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed
position.
• Check the shift lever for smooth operation
by shifting the lever from neutral to forward
and reverse.
