INSTALLATION
1. Install:
• Steering friction assembly 1
• Nuts 2
• Bolts 3 (M8 × 25)
• Nuts 4
• Bolts 5 (M8 × 50)
• Washers 6
• Collar 7 (16.0 mm)
• Collar 8 (28.5 mm)
NOTE:
Do not apply lubricants such as grease to the
friction areas of the steering friction adjuster.
Nut:
20.0 N • m
(2.04 kgf • m, 14.8 ft • lb)
Bolt:
18.0 N • m
(1.84 kgf • m, 13.3 ft • lb)

F100C, F100D
2. Adjust:
• Adjusting nut 1
Adjustment steps:
• To increase the friction, turn the adjusting
nut 1 in direction a.
• To decrease the friction, turn the adjusting
nut 1 in direction b.
• Steering friction adjusting lever 2
Adjustment steps:
• Adjust the adjusting nut 1 so that there is
no steering resistance when the steering
friction adjusting lever 2 is at position c,
and so that there is steering friction when
the lever is at position d.
