PREPARATION
1. Remove:
• Grease nipples 1
• Clamp 2 (except F40G and F70A)
• Ground lead 3
INSTALLATION
1. Install:
• Steering friction assembly 1
• Clamp 2 (except F40G and F70A)
• Bolts (M6) 3
• Spring washers 4
• Ground lead 5
NOTE:
• Do not apply lubricants such as grease to the
friction areas of the steering friction adjuster.
• Make sure that there is clearance a
between the steering friction lever and
speedometer hose. (Except F40G and F70A)
Bolt:
8.0 N • m (0.82 kgf • m, 5.9 ft • lb)
2. Check:
• Friction force
Move the friction lever 1 in direction a
or b.
Incorrect → Retighten the nut 2.

6.0 N • m (0.61 kgf • m, 4.4 ft • lb)
