larger than 96 zones must be downloaded with NAPCO PCD-Windows Version 4.1. This manual contains
Easy Program Mode instructions, which allows the the first 96 zones to be completely programmed through
Menu Driven Easy Program Mode.
! The GEM-X255 requires the use of version 7 firmware GEM-RP1CAe2 7 keypads:
The keypad version can be identified by a compatibility sticker on keypad carton as well as a product
version number of 07. The product version number appears as a 2 digit number which follows a 5 digit date
code stamped on the the inside end flap of the carton (ex: XXXXX07DR). This number will also appear on
the product on a triangular shaped sticker.
The firmware version of the keypad can also be ascertained by entering the program mode—it will read
[2307 Program Mode].
! The GEM-X255 requires the use of version 7 firmware GEM-EZM-8 zone expansion modules.
This version zone expansion modules can be identified by a compatibility sticker on the keypad carton as well as a
product version number of 11. The product version number appears as a 2 digit number which follows a 5 digit date
code stamped on the carton (ex: XXXXX11DR). This number will also appear on the on the the inside end flap of
the carton as well as on the circuit board on a triangular shaped sticker.
