Chapter 3: FaxFinder Server Software Screens
Description
Identifier used by FaxFinder when interfacing with mail
server. FaxFinder uses mail server to send call reports
to administrator. Some email servers require

satisfy this authentication requirement (where needed), a
User ID must be specified for the FaxFinder unit. Leave
this field blank if authentication is not needed.

server. Leave this field blank if authentication is not
needed.
Reiteration of above password.
The Backup SMTP Server can be set up to send
received faxes to users, if the primary email server is
interrupted. The Active Email Server drop down shows
the email server which will be used to send email. If an
email attempt fails, the FaxFinder re-queues the
message and automatically switches to the server that is
not currently active. This provides a way to ensure
received faxes are sent when the primary email service
is interrupted.
Log in ID for the backup server.
IP port on which the backup SMTP server is listening.
Password for access to the backup server.
Reiteration of above password.
This is the maximum size limit that the FaxFinder will
accept for incoming fax messages.Set this to match any
limits that your email server may have on attachments.

When selected, email confirmation notice is sent
attesting that the fax message sent by the FaxFinder
client user has been transmitted with no errors to the
remote fax machine.
Determines whether, for received faxes, the technical
characteristics of that particular fax are included in the
email message. (These details are those listed in the Fax
Details screen that is accessible as a secondary screen
from the Fax Log screen).
Determines whether the fax message becomes a PDF
attachment or TIF attachment. TIF attachments can be
forwarded or added to a list of multiple documents to be
faxed whereas PDF attachments cannot.
